The opera is a kind of musical that combines music and theater. The musical theater, firstly , rises with a family ‘’Medici’’ in Florence. The opera ‘’Euridice’’ of the famous musician and composer ‘’Jacopo Peri’’ is represented in Pitti Palace of Florence. Enrico IV who is a member of a big family ‘’Medici’’ with the famous remark of ‘’Parigi val bene una messa’’ changes the traditional rules of theater and makes references. The first theater of opera is established by a private enterprise as a ‘’ business’’ in Venice in 1637. Mostly, the public shows are performed in order to decrease the costs. The opera enters into the industry of entertainment with carnival. There is a half century of time between the Memories of Theater in Venice which is published in 1681 and the opening of the first opera theater. The opera is actively involved in Venice between 1637 till 1681. The best examples of them are San Cassiano , S.Giovanni e Paolo, S.Moise.

The musical theater is structured in three phases. The first one is, big famous aristocratic families such as i Grimaldi, i Tron, i Capello who are the owners of theatre renovate old theatres and give them for rental purposes of entrepreneurs. The second phase is a proces to finance whole enterprise and collect total income obtained . The third phase is a process of merging and unifying artists, composers, singers, writers, ballet dancers, musicians, costume designers.

The exhibitions which prduce extraordinary effects cover the important part of expenditures . Later, composers, costume designers, ballet dancers come. For musicians, a little quantity is enough but generally, the orchestra does not exceed ten members.

Ther e are inspirations from classical mythology in the content of topics. Even the knight’s poems of Ariosto and Tasso give an idea about classical mythology. There are important art works such as ‘’ The Return to Home of Ulisse of ‘’ Monteverdi’’ and ‘’Didone’ of Francesco Cavalli. In other words, the classicism hosts opera . This style of thinking and idea shapes the element which writers and composers give importance.

Opera ise karnaval ile eğlence endüstrisine girer. 1681 yılında basılan Venedik Tiyatro Anıları ile ilk tiyatro operası’nın açılışı arasında yarım yüzyıl zaman vardır, opera 1637’den 1681’e kadar Venedik’te aktif olarak yer alıyordu. En iyi örnekleri, San Cassiano , S.Giovanni e Paolo, S.Moise’. dir.

Müzikal tiyatro işi üç aşamada yapılanır. İlki¸ büyük aristokrat aileler olan tiyatro sahipleri , i Grimaldi, i Tron, i Capello eski tiyatroları yeniden yapılandırır ve tiyatro girişimcilerine kiraya verilir. İkinci aşama bütün girişimi finansa etme ve elde edilen gelirleri toplama işidir. Üçüncü aşama da artistlerin, bestecilerin, şarkıcıların, senaristlerin, balerinlerin, müzisyenlerin, kostüm tasarımcılarını birleştime ve toplamadır.

Opera tiyatrosunda her zaman elde edilen gelir, özellikle, şarkıcıların ve sahnelemenin maliyetini karşılıyamaz. Sıradışı etkiler üreten inanılmaz sergiler, harcamaların önemli bir kısmını karşılar. Sonra şarkılar, besteci, kostüm tasarımcıları, balerinler gelir. Müzisyenler için az miktar yeterli idi. Orkestra, genelde, on kişiyi geçmez.

Konuların içeriğinde klasik mitolojiden esinlenmeler vardı. Ariosto ve Tasso’nun şövalye şiirleri bile klasik mitoloji ile ilgili fikirler verir.
