At the watch-repairer’s | saat tamircisinde

Watch-repairer:

Good morning, madam.

Saat tamircisi:  

Günaydın, bayan.

Customer: 

I’ve got a problem with this watch. It’s stopped, but it can’t be the battery,  because I had a new one quite recently.

Müşteri: 

 Bu saatle başım dertte. Durdu, fakat sorun pil olamaz, çünkü pek yakında yeni bir tane aldım.

Watch-repairer:

Can  I have a look? I’ll just open up the back.

Saat tamircisi:  

 Bir bakabilir miyim? Sadece arkasını açacağım.

(after a few moments)

Watch-repairer:

I can’t see anything wrong. I’d better check the battery anyway just to make sure.

Saat tamircisi:

Yes, it is the battery.

Saat tamircisi:

Customer: 

 I don’t understand that. It can’t be more then three months!

Müşteri:

Watch-repairer:

Where did you buy it, madam?

Saat tamircisi:  

 Onu nereden satın aldınız, bayan?

Customer: 

On the market.

Müşteri: 

Marketten.

Watch-repairer:

Ah!! There’s the explanation! Always buy your batteries from a watch-repairer.They may be a few pence cheaper in the market, but they are not always reliable, as you see here!

Saat tamircisi:  

Ah!! İşte açıklaması! Pillerinizi  her zaman bir saat tamircisinden satın alın. Markette birkaç peni daha ucuz olabilir, fakat burada da gördüğünüz gibi her zaman kullanışlı olmayabiliyorlar.

Customer: 

(laughing) But you would say that, wouldn’t you?

Müşteri:

(laughing) Because it’s true.

Customer: 

Thanks anyway. How much do I owe you?

Müşteri:

Watch-repairer:

(laughing) Just £3 for a first-class battery!

Saat tamircisi:  

 (gülerek) Birinci sınıf pil için sadece 3 pound!
