The education publishing company “Limasollu Publishing” was established by Naci Limasollu in 1953, and, as it was the first of its kind, had never been seen before in Turkey.

Back in those days, ‘Limasollu Publishing’ sent correspondence courses to students. These consisted of selected passages from books containing lessons to learn. After that, tests were given to the students, which were sent in when completed, corrected and marked, and finally sent back to the student. In its time, this kind of business was a cause for celebration as it was extremely successful.

Initially, Limasollu Publishing started with about 5 -10 members, which over a couple of years increased to 10,000 members. Only after a year of being established in 1954, Turkey’s first foreign language course was opened in the famous Istiklal street in Beyoglu, İstanbul by our company. It was followed by other courses in the Cihangir and Sisli districts in İstanbul.

The company began to organise summer schools advertised as English speaking camps, which began in Abana, a beautiful town on the Karadeniz (Black Sea) coast. After that the camps went on to Bodrum Karatoprak (Turgut Reis), Akbuk and Antalya until 1991. Thousands of people from those past generations have many happy memories of our summer schools. The summer schools that we created and established are now being put into practice by several newer companies in many parts of Turkey. Additionally, between 1973 and 1991, a summer school at Kessingland near Lowestoft in England was added to our itinery.

Now after 56 years of experience we are connected with other companies all over the world in the same field.

With the advancement of technology nowadays; namely, computers and ‘distance education’, our company has progressed accordingly via our correspondence courses. We can see that with internet access and improved technological possibilities, this gives our members many opportunities for success in the near future

Our company, Limasollu Publishing, currently has English, German, Russian and Spanish self-study language sets to offer our students the head start they deserve in their language learning.
